AnthropicDEPRECATED: Anthropic's model-deprecations page carries a standing notice that claude-mythos-preview is deprecated and directs users to migrate to Mythos 5; confirmed there on 2026-09-07. It is not retired -- no retirement date is published and the model still answers -- so it stays listed, gated rather than shut down. It does not appear on Anthropic's rate card at all, which is why the $25/$125 below is flagged unverified: the only place Anthropic has published that figure is the Project Glasswing page. Earlier Mythos-class research preview, superseded by Mythos 5 on June 9. Access restricted to Project Glasswing partners only, not generally available. List price is published by Anthropic on the Project Glasswing page: the model 'will be available to participants of Project Glasswing at $25/$125 per million input/output tokens'. That makes it the highest per-token rate Anthropic has published for any model. Participants are unlikely to pay it in practice: Anthropic has committed up to $100M in model usage credits covering the research preview. Consistent with that, Anthropic's July 28, 2026 cryptography post states each result cost roughly $100,000 in API cost while one result consumed a billion output tokens, which would bill $125,000 at list on the output side alone, so internal and partner accounting is evidently not at list price.
