This row previously said the model was shutting down on October 16, 2026 — Google's deprecations page now shows no shutdown date announced for gemini-2.5-flash-lite, gemini-2.5-flash or gemini-2.5-pro, so that claim was removed on August 24, 2026. Only the dated preview snapshots (gemini-2.5-flash-lite-preview-09-2025 and similar) carry shutdown dates. If it is ever retired, the successors are much dearer: gemini-3.1-flash-lite at $0.25/$1.50 is 2.5x input and 3.75x output, and gemini-3.5-flash-lite at $0.30/$2.50 is 6.25x this model's output rate.
